Educate Yourself! ! Internet Scams target singles sites
Posted: Jun 18, 2005 at 11:59 PM
NEW ALERTS: Stronghappysoul, EVASEXY, ADE54, and utahhorse230 are scammers!

We ask that you STAY ON THE SITE to correspond!

Members don't give out your phone number, personal emails, or email photos off the site until you know the person you are writing to.

URGENT UPDATE -
Internet Scammers Posing as Soldiers (see last and most recent reply for more info)

The Most important things to remember:

1. ALWAYS STAY on our website to correspond until you Really know the person. They will try to get you to contact them on Yahoo or other personal emails so they don't lose contact when they are caught and deleted from this website.

2. Look for bad grammar, broken English, odd phrasing and greetings like Hello Beautiful.

3. NEVER CLICK ON ANY LINKS
A. Sent to you through a member email
B. A strange link coming from a friend's email
C. Clicking on links sometimes call up a copy cat page asking you to login again. When you log in you are giving scammers your user name and password. If this happens, change your passwords immediately!

3. NEVER click on any link sent through an ES email asking you to view pictures or click on any Facebook links.

4. ALWAYS check the Web address or URL on top of your browser to make sure you are on the real website. Do not use the same password as your user name or use obvious passwords.

Our site has the top of the line security to help keep members safe. Thanks to our "Neighborhood Watch Program" and our security staff, ES catches most of them before they have a chance to write anyone.

Scammers no longer using the obvious Nigerian Scams. In fact, many operate out of the United States.

Beware of Internet Scams targeting singles sites
Posted: Jul 20, 2012 at 3:04 PM
NEW: Scammers are using an email address with the extension: USA.Com. It gives their target a sense of security seeing a soldier with this email address. However, real military usually will have " a mil. " in their address.

WOULD YOU KNOW THIS WAS A SCAMMER?

Hi everone who is visiting my profile.. In am a simple man, easy going, out spoken, romantic. I am a very straight forward person, i dont beat around the bush.I love the outside life. Love traveling and trying out new thing..

1. Using a High ranking military photo -
This suggests that they would not usually speak this way or post a photo like that on a singles website.

2. Look at the grammar. Lines like:
"I love the outside life"

3. "I am a very straightforward person"
is a classic scammer line seen in hundreds of profiles.

4. "Love traveling and trying out new thing."

CHECK OUT another suspect profile essay.

A LEGITIMATE member would NEVER talk or write this way. The name is SexyMouton

How I describe myself and the type of person I am interested in meeting:

I am looking for someone that I could be with forever and ever in life till dead okay, Someone that is caring and honest to me and you can email me and that is my I'd just try and email or chat with me I will tell you more

Re: Beware of Internet Scams targeting singles sites

Today I received an email from a member who almost got fooled by an Internet Scammer.

The bottom line is: Stay on our web site to correspond and NEVER send money. This goes for all web sites as well as Facebook.

Member Said:
I was contacted by "Aura316", and they were very cleaver and very patient to gain my trust before asking me for money. They said they lived in Maryland, but went back to England to settle an inheritance estate and would soon be back to meet. They followed by saying they needed "help", and when I did not comply, they eventually said the "needed" me to offer an account number to be able to transfer money from British account to American account. They worked on my sympathies, and how they were counting on me. They were convincing to a
point. They were clever in pulling me away from the site. They conveniently were on the last days of enrollment.

Re: Internet Scammers Stay on Site to Communicate!
Posted: Nov 24, 2012 at 2:51 PM
SIX MEMBERS responded to a scammer posing as a soldier today and also gave them their personal email address out in their first email.

They try to get you off the site so they don't lose communication when they are caught and deleted.

PLEASE STAY ON OUR WEBSITE TO COMMUNICATE!

DID YOU RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL? If so stop communication because this IS a scammer!

Hi
I don't fear insects or spiders. At great heights, I jump off, smiling. In the face of death I wink. But, when I look into your profile, i was in fear of how much i will like to get to know you. Multiply it by infinity, take it to the depths of forever and you'll still only have a glimpse how your profile as hit me like a tidal wave .It takes a second
to say I love you, but a lifetime to show it...........................
....hope to hear from you soon...My membership expires here so you can send me a direct email to cpt.reeves@yahoo.com or send me your
email.

Thanks
Cpt. Reeves
