Perhaps it was because he was one of our first members back in 2001, and the old guy could sure raise hell in the chat room especially when he got together with Saddler and Montewalsh. (ES lore has it that Saddler bribed his way back into chat by making admin a pair of chinks. It only got him so far before he was booted again!) I miss seeing Ben in the chat room every night. His sudden passing is a reminder to all of us to live each day to the fullest cause you never know when it's your time. ~ Admin It is with great sadness we inform you, that our long time member, CowboyBen, passed away yesterday while Kathie, aka "Cheesecake" was at work. At this time they are not sure if it was his heart. CowboyBen was a regular in the chatrooms during the first years of ES. He met Kathie on the site and they resided in Cave Creek, AZ. Ben was involved in Cowboy Mounted Shooting, but during the last few years suffered from ALS, which made it difficult for him to type. Many of us had the opportunity to meet Benny at the NFR in Vegas or at get togethers in Cave Creek. He will be a hard act to follow. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathie and Ben's family. He will be greatly missed by his ES family, especially his one-of-a-kind fiesty sense of humor. Rest in peace my friend... He was a great guy, who had his share of bad luck the last couple of years. I am glad his suffering is over, but he will be missed. Ben , I looking forward to riding with you in heaven my friend . I met him at a Cave Creek ES gathering a couple of years ago and was a friend who always made me laugh and smile in chat. My thoughts are with Kathie and the family. His sence of humor was priceless too.
