Calcutta's that I know are just a bit of side wagering never been involved with one for any organizatios just a bunch of folks bidding pooling and buying teams.
Yep will be there shy is getting her horse to load in a goosenck and should have it walking in and out by May..that's last I heard

Agreeded that is what Calcutta's are all about. Down side is it takes money to do what you described and some that come to these things do good to get funds together to buy fuel to make the trip. Auctions, Calcuttas or just passing the plate can make some feel uncomfortable if they don't have the spare dollars to be involved.
I'm sure someone else could to a better job of explaining this.

This event sounds way too fun to pass on. Please put myself and Mark down. Gonna try to bring the horses but if not we would still like to be on a team if we cant get one together. Cant wait till then!!

Debbie, do I know Mark? Is he a good cowboy? Since Vince can't be here, I am looking for one more top notch cowboy to be on the dream team of me NT, Mark and Gunner. This is a totally seperate competition than the one planned for the weekend. I may be over looking the right guy but I have scowered (skowered ?) the lists of those planning to be here and still looking for the 4th team member. However at this point, the skirts and cowgirls have yet to come up with a team.
Saying again. Main event is the 4 team member pasture cow work and working cow horse. Then on top of that we will have a competion or fun time for those not up to the hard cow work. So there will be something for everyone. And for the skirts the big ole tent we rent will handle one big time dance and party on Saturday night.
We will locate a band and make it one heck of a good time.

Mark's team lucked out with their new addition. Melissa and her Wonder horse "Suger Britches"... Yeah!!!
BUT the team to beat will be "Gunner and the pistols".

George...You may have met Mark a few years back when he was working for Salt Creek Ranch over in Montague or at the St Jo dairy queen...lol and he was at your Memorial day events the last two years. I happen to think he is a pretty good cowboy..hehehe. He said he would be honored to be a part of your "dream team". Looking forward to this event!!

Jeanie, well.....considering the fact that I cant rope and have never done this stuff before it might not be a good idea for me to be on the "dream team". As far as the main event team goes I am going to try my darnest to get the job done..lol Even if we dont get a team together I still plan on having a great time with friends and two very special people.
