What Has ES Meant You? Happy 13th Anniversary ES! Posted: Nov 29, 2010 at 10:52 AM
As ES celebrates its 13th year of bringing people together, I think about all the marriages, life long friendships, children born, and support for our dear friends as they face life's challenges.
I have seen miracles worked by the power of member's prayers. I was reminded of that this Thanksgiving, when I spent time with my nephew who miraculously survived a gun shot wound to the head. Most thought he would not survive, or he would be ambulatory the rest of his life. Once he awoke, it was doubtful that he would talk, walk, or ever be able to have a normal life again. But God had different plans.
Members from around the country prayed for him daily on our message board, and Glennh even went to the hospital and prayed over Gregg while he was still in a coma. My family will never forget the pages of prayers on the message board as Gregg made his long journey back to a happy and productive life. I truly believe one day he will practice medicine again.
Today, Gregg has a beautiful apartment, is engaged to a very loving and kind woman, and he has tutored chemistry, anatomy, and physiology to college students. He recently bought a car and is driving again.
Last month Gregg spoke to the North Carolina Brain Injury Association about his long journey back to a normal life.
I am forever grateful for all the support and prayers from so many ES members.
Many sites call themselves an online community, but ES IS a true community and family!

I love ES...everyone here is so wonderful! I have met serveral friends on this site, both male and female. I can leave for a year and come back and feel like I had never left! The people on this site are like family. They are always there for you. It's unlike any other online singles site, it's truely a community! After my "divorce" I REALLY got out of my comfort zone and went to Vegas, flew by myself (never did that before!), stayed with 2 complete strangers (gals of corse) and had a ball! They didn't know me from Adam and invited me to stay with them in thier hotel room, took me all over Vegas like a little puppy dog! LOL WHO DOES THAT!!! LOL Thank you so much for providing this site at such a reasonable cost to people! Thank you to all of you for being YOU! Love ya all! WannaBeRanch (Wanna#2) Lea

ES has been a lifeline in many ways. Through the networking I did with women on the site in CO back in 2003, I met my Mark . . . and experienced the love that I'd always hoped for in my life. I have made friends online through another horse-related, vet-monitored web-site, and between those friends and the friends on ES, I have been blessed beyond what I could have imagined. ES provides a chance to network with like-minded people . . . and we can never underestimate the multitude of opportunities that come from networking. Since Mark's death, my online friends have provided an amazing support system, and through e-mails, phone calls, visits from them and to them I have been encouraged and able to continue on here. A few who have come to visit have given me invaluable help on equipment or other projects that I really couldn't do or didn't know how to do alone. Here in KS, there are several members in my immediate area, and we've gotten together several times to laugh, share stories, and share meals. This Thanksgiving I was surprised by a visit from one of the original 5 ES members -- the woman who first encouraged me to contact Mark about a job possibility and whom I never met in person until after Mark's death. Thank you, Marcia, for the vision you had and the risks you took to provide this EquestrianSingles' site that has become vital and awesome place for relationships to begin and continue to grow.

I joined ES almost at the beginning. I had just come out of a long unhappy marriage and needed someplace to just listen, talk and be me. ES provided that and it helped me to heal and grow. I learned a lot on many levels but the most that Im appreciative of is the privilege of working with so many people's horses. In learning and perfecting the long distance energy work, I talked with folks in chat who were having challenges with their horses,,, on behavioral, performance and physical issues. These wonderful horses responded perfectly to the energy work by my just using their pictures, so it gave me the confidence to continue and the encouragement from people who have been around horses all their lives. I am now doing clinics all over.
Thank you ES for helping me to open the door to my authentic creative healing nature with all animals, but especially horses. It has made my life much more fulfilling and happy. Cindy

Living in a rural area and working and living on a farm I rarely have time for social contacts besides church and work. This site has helped me concentrate on being able to attend some nice get togethers (esp. at Evelyn and George's and Kimber's) with horse friendly people. It has also helped me wile away, what would otherwise be dull hours typing back and forth to some quite witty individuals in chat. A few witless ones too but in a family one can't be choosy (-:

ES has been an integral part of my life for the last 10 years. I joined about 6 months after it went online and have never looked back. It has been a source of entertainment for me when I was traveling for work and stuck in a lonely hotel room at night. It was what kept me going when I was stuck at home on cold rainy days. As long as I had my laptop and an internet connection, I was never without my friends.
I met so many people from the gatherings we've had on this website that I can't even count them all! And I have made some of the closest, deepest friendships I've ever made through this website. I've cried and laughed with people, prayed and been prayed for. I've asked, and taken, advice on a number of things from a lame horse to how to kill weeds! I've gotten to know people's kids and animals. I have seen so many miracles take place for members of this website, it's unbelievable.
This site is not a Match.com or some other dating website. This website is truly a community. A family for those people that take the time to get to know others.
When the final chapter of the book of my life is written, you will find that ES played a BIG part in my life, and the friends I made changed my life forever.

I joined ES fairly close to the beginning after seeing an ad at the Houston Livestock Show. I was in the process of leaving a bad marriage and ES opened a world to me full of friendship and possibilities. ES was there for me during those hard times as I remade my life. When I was lonely, which was every night... I could get on chat and there was my family! I have met some of the best girlfriends of my life on here. And I have lost some of my dearest friends as well. The fact that I ultimately met and married the love of my life is icing on the cake. But can I tell you that the icing is my favorite part?
When I look over at my handsome Kansas husband... I realize that if it wasn't for ES, we would have never come within a 10 hours drive of each other. Even so, during that first party at Tim's, where we first met, I never imagined that 7 years later we would be married. I never imagined that from my broken home we would create a whole and happy family. I never imagined such contentment and happiness.
So what did ES give me? It game me no less than friends, family, a much adored husband... oh and two mustangs lol! So did ES change my life? To this I can only answer with a resounding YES!

I joined ES in early 2006. Like most, the original plan was to meet that one special guy but I have gotten so much more. There are so many people from ES that I am blessed to call friend, even though I have not met them all in person. I have laughed and cried with "strangers". Before ES I would have never considered flying to DFW for a Girls Night Out :-) The kindness, prayers, love & caring that is found in chat & on the message board is a reminder that there are wonderful people in this world. The ES "Family" would do anything for anybody at anytime. ES truly is a community of fantastic like minded people. Thanks ES for allowing me to be a part of it.
