Brandy - that's what I use on my Arabs - a knee sock with thingies tied on the end for a fly switch. My "grey" horses have white tails - keeps them pretty much stain free. And good while trailering. I also have regular tail bags that match the show blankets.

Thanks Nevada, I'll give it a try but If I get the chance to bring my babies in a hospital to see kids I would think a plastic one would do better.But I do appreciate youe input.

Brandy - I just looked at all the posts - are you talking about a poop bag? OMG - I thought you meant a bag to protect show tails. sheeeesh. No, a sock will not prevent somethng from falling on the floor. LMHO
