| How I describe myself and the type of person I am interested in meeting: |
I own three young horses, board one for a young girl, have 4 Alpacas (my Fiber pets - I use their wool to spin and knit with). My job as a software application programmer pays for my horse addiction! Owning a small ranchette means there is always work - i.e. right now I am slowly painting the perimeter fence (I paint a bit then ride a bit then clean up some more and then feed animals again etc etc - oh yeah and work full time - that work thing does get in the way!)
I love to scuba (only in warm water any more though - and spear fish), ski (water and snow), vacation in warm climates, and work on my crafts. I do love to try new things - I have para-sailed and would love to learn how to hang-glide or fly one of those little ultra-lights. I love adventure! And very importantly; I love to laugh!
I grew up in third world countries - mostly tropical and as a result am not your typical North American or Canadian as is the case!
I consider myself a kind person and hard worker.
I'm one of those people who is almost always on the go!
I used to race in Triathlons and did very well but that was when I didn't have horses - while I still like to run during lunch at work some days and work out in the little gym there, and ride my bike once in a while, and really love to swim in a warm ocean (anyone up for a dip?) - most of my activities outdoors now revolve around the horses and maintaining this place. I am planning on spending a week in Steamboat at my condo there this summer with my niece and the horses of course - good thing she is a good rider too and can ride my guys!
I'd love to meet someone who is interested in horses; rides; is willing to learn to ride or drive a single (cart or carriage - I have both) or even just willing to hang around and be my navigator or cheerleader! I'm really looking for a life partner who I can enjoy those wonderful sunsets and extraordinary moments with - either here in North America or elsewhere on some wonderful adventure!
