How I describe myself and the type of person I am interested in meeting:
How many cows does it take to make a man a "real cowboy"?
How many horses does a man have to care for before he is a horseman?
How many dinners must a man have to miss while tending his cows or baling hay for his stock before he is a rancher?
How many cold wet nights must a man spend pulling stubborn calves before he is a cowboy?
If a man can love raising cattle and horses, and is lucky enough to find a horse woman who supports that idea...well then he is a really "lucky" cowboy!
I raise purebred angus cattle and have a few horses in the heart of horse country in Kentucky. I make my living as a stockbroker for retirement plans. I find horse people and animal lovers much more fun to talk with, and do business with. For some reason I find horses get me through times of no woman better then a woman gets me through times of no horses! If you can relate to that then maybe we should talk. The horses, cows and labrador are part of the package deal! When the hay is all done we go dancing!
