| How I describe myself and the type of person I am interested in meeting: |
I am a very casual, fun-loving person. I know you can’t take anything too seriously, most of all yourself. Humor is extremely important to me. The funniest movie I’ve seen in years was Little Miss Sunshine. Did you like that one too? I am intelligent, in an off-beat way. I see myself as a veritable fount of useless knowledge, some of which has landed me the unusual job I have. I work in the racing industry as a money room clerk/mutuel teller, and have for years. I really enjoy it. I’ve worked very hard to keep myself in good physical shape, and I feel I’ve done a good job. My exercise regime includes horseback riding and yoga. I’m pretty passionate about both. Other passions of mine are coffee shops, reading, and movies, especially anything concerning “Harry Potter” or “Hobbits”. Every year, in the summer, I attend the Renaissance Festival at least twice, in costume. How do you look in a kilt? I love music, but my taste is a bit eclectic. My favorite bands are Great Big Sea, the Stones, U2, John Mellencamp, and CCR. My favorite instrument is the bagpipe. It sends chills through me. Animals are my most important passion. I have cats, and I love them dearly. I’m somewhat of a compulsive cleaner, so don’t worry, my house isn’t totally covered in hair. Horses, dogs, cats, goats, you name it, there isn’t an animal that doesn’t work for me. I’ve ridden on and off for years, and used to have my own horses. I hope to have one again some day. I love to travel, and would really enjoy having a companion. My latest trip was to the Kentucky Derby this year, but it was a working vacation. Doesn’t matter, I had a blast. My other favorite vacations were going to Salem Mass for Halloween, and riding cross-country in Ireland for five days. I imagined our group as Hobbits, riding from inn to inn. What an adventure! I want so much to do it again, but not be alone this time. Do you think you can help?
